Job summary

Solus Accident Repair Centres Company in the UK seeks a Data Protection Assistant to support the Data Protection Officer with day-to-day DP activity, DSAR handling, GDPR training and cross-functional collaboration.

The role is hybrid with some home working and requires weekly in-person attendance in the Milton Keynes/Dunstable area to support collaboration and safe, compliant data handling.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GDPR and UK data protection legislation.
• Strong communication, organisation and written skills.
• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across teams.
• Interest in data privacy, compliance, or governance.
• Flexibility to travel and occasionally work outside core hours.

Responsibilities

• Support the Data Protection Officer with day-to-day activity and ad-hoc DP projects.
• Help manage and respond to DSARs.
• Assist in designing and delivering GDPR training for operational teams and leaders.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Governance and Aviva’s data protection teams.
• Maintain knowledge of data protection laws including GDPR and related obligations.
• Attend ICO events and relevant learning to stay updated.
