Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Bury for GCSE Tutors across Maths, English and Science.

This role offers flexible hours and a real chance to improve pupil attainment by providing targeted one-to-one or small-group support and strengthening GCSE knowledge.

Applicants with prior school experience and a relevant degree (QTS encouraged) are invited to apply, with ASAP start available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a school or educational setting.
• Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English and/or Science.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, supportive and encouraging approach.
• Ability to adapt tutoring sessions to individual pupil needs.
• Genuine passion for helping young people succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted one-to-one or small-group academic support across GCSE Maths, English and/or Science.
• Help pupils close gaps in knowledge and reinforce learning.
• Prepare students for upcoming GCSE examinations and build confidence.
• Make learning engaging and accessible for different abilities and learning styles.
