Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Secondary Tutor in Manchester to deliver bespoke 1:1 education to pupils not attending school. You will create, plan and deliver tailored lessons aimed at bridging gaps, re-engaging learners and restoring daily routine and confidence.

This role suits an experienced teacher stepping away from the classroom, with flexible hours during school terms and ongoing duration. Prospero Teaching will monitor progress and provide support throughout placements.

Qualifications

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
• 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to pupils not attending school
• Reengage and provide structure to pupils' daily routine and learning, improving engagement and attainment levels
• Monitor progression with each pupil and work with Prospero Teaching to support effective learning

INTRO

Prospero Teaching is looking for an Secondary Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people that are not attending school.

As an Secondary Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lesson to bridge gaps in pupils education and boost engagement and attainment levels. This opportunity is great for an experienced teacher who is looking to step away from the classroom to offer more personalised, enjoyable lessons.

Most of these pupils will have been out of education for some time, so their confidence levels may be very low. It is your responsibility to reengage them in their learning and offer structure back into their daily routine.

Prospero Teaching will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil and support effective learning.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
