Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a GCSE Maths Teacher for a Northamptonshire college. The role involves delivering lessons to resitting students, focusing on exam preparation and personalised interventions to boost GCSE outcomes.

You will work in a supportive, inclusive environment with DBS on update service and strong safeguarding expectations. Competitive pay and professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• A Maths degree (1st class or 2:1) and recognised teaching qualification are required.
• QTS, PGCE or DTTLS are desirable to teach GCSE Maths.
• Experience in a further education environment is essential.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills are a must.
• SEND and Safeguarding experience is desirable.
• DBS on the update service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE Maths lessons with a focus on resits.
• Lead exam preparation and targeted intervention to improve outcomes.
• Identify gaps in learner knowledge and rebuild confidence to achieve pass.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual needs and track progress.
• Maintain safeguarding and SEND best practices in all interactions.
