Job summary

Square One Resources Limited is seeking a GCP Platform Engineer/Architect for a 4-month contract in London, working hybrid. The role involves designing and automating Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, building Kubernetes-native solutions, and driving cloud engineering best practices.

In a modern multi-cloud environment (GCP/AWS/Azure/on-prem), you will deliver secure, scalable, and automated platform services using IaC and GitOps approaches. The position is Inside IR35 and starts in October.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and at least two areas (Networking, IAM, or Policy).
• Proficient in Terraform and IaC practices.
• Kubernetes platform engineering experience with Operators and CRDs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable Google Cloud Platform architectures.
• Build and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform (HCL).
• Develop and manage Kubernetes platforms, Operators and Custom Resources.
• Implement GitOps CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD or FluxCD.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code and Spec- Driven Development (SDD) practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver resilient, production-ready cloud platforms.
