Job summary

Our client is seeking an experienced GCP Platform Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in the United Kingdom. You will design, build, and maintain cloud-based platforms and pipelines using Google Cloud Platform, with hands-on experience across Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions and GKE.

The role requires strong CI/CD automation skills (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Cloud Build or similar) and the ability to obtain SC clearance.

Qualifications

Experience designing, building and maintaining cloud platforms on Google Cloud.
Hands-on with GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions, GKE.
Strong CI/CD pipeline design and automation experience.
Ability to obtain SC clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality platforms and pipelines.
Participate in the software development lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance.
Provide technical insight during system design.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions.
Write well-documented code and contribute to technical documentation.
Troubleshoot issues and maintain live services.
Stay up to date with latest technologies and best practices.
Communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
Contribute to the engineering community.
