Job summary

Insight International (UK) Ltd in Manchester is seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to build and evolve secure cloud platforms. You will own Kubernetes platforms (GKE/OpenShift), automate infrastructure with Terraform, and implement CI/CD pipelines using Harness and Jenkins while embedding security and governance.

The role focuses on observability with Dynatrace, running multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments, and delivering self-service platform capabilities via Backstage.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating Kubernetes platforms for large enterprises.
• Hands-on expertise with GKE/OpenShift and multi-cloud environments.
• Proficient in Terraform-based infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate enterprise Kubernetes platforms and services.
• Develop reusable platform capabilities with Backstage and IDP patterns.
• Implement secure, observable cloud environments with Terraform and Dynatrace.
• Define SLI/SLO measures and automate runbooks.
• Collaborate with security, architecture and operations teams to enforce standards.
