Job summary

Cloud Decisions Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Senior GCP Network Engineer to design, automate and support secure cloud networking across a regulated enterprise environment.

You will contribute to a Google Cloud-based delivery programme, building connectivity through Terraform while collaborating with DevOps across IAM, observability and platform services. You will manage Shared VPCs, Interconnect, VPNs, BGP, Private Service Connect and Private Google Access, plus Cloud NAT/DNS and security policies

Qualifications

• Senior GCP network engineer with hands-on experience in regulated environments.
• Experience designing and implementing shared VPCs, hub-and-spoke networks, and connectivity architectures.
• Strong automation and Terraform scripting to deploy and manage cloud networking services.

Responsibilities

• Design, automate and support secure cloud networking across a regulated enterprise environment.
• Implement Shared VPC and hub-and-spoke network architecture.
• Manage Cloud Interconnect, HA VPN, Cloud Router and BGP.
• Configure Private Service Connect, Private Google Access, Cloud NAT and Cloud DNS.
• Enforce hierarchical and VPC firewall policies; manage Cloud Load Balancing and Cloud Armor; ensure VPC Service Controls.
• Oversee GKE networking and private cluster connectivity; perform IP address planning across environments.
• Collaborate with IAM, observability and platform services teams to raise deployment readiness.

We're working with a US-based technology consultancy that is building a specialist Google Cloud delivery team for a large financial services programme.

They're looking for a hands-on Senior GCP Network Engineer to design, automate and support secure cloud networking across a regulated enterprise environment.

This isn't a traditional network engineering position. You'll need strong Google Cloud infrastructure and automation experience, with the ability to build and manage networking services through Terraform while contributing to the wider DevOps delivery programme.

You'll be responsible for areas including:

• Shared VPC and hub-and-spoke network architecture
• Network Connectivity Center
• Cloud Interconnect and HA VPN
• Cloud Router and BGP
• Private Service Connect and Private Google Access
• Cloud NAT and Cloud DNS
• Hierarchical and VPC firewall policies
• Cloud Load Balancing and Cloud Armor
• VPC Service Controls
• GKE networking and private cluster connectivity
• IP address planning across enterprise environments

Alongside your specialist networking experience, you'll need strong hands-on capability across:

• Terraform
• Kubernetes and GKE
• Jenkins, Jenkinsfiles and Groovy shared libraries

You'll work alongside engineers covering IAM, observability and wider platform services, helping establish consistent infrastructure standards and supporting deployment readiness across the programme.

Experience delivering secure hybrid connectivity within financial services or another regulated environment would be particularly useful.
