Job summary

Intertek Wilton is seeking an Analytical Scientist (GC-MS) to own GC-MS service delivery within the Chemistry & Chromatography team. You will develop methods, interpret complex data, and deliver high-quality results for a diverse client base.

You will manage multiple projects, communicate technical findings to clients, and work collaboratively with project managers and scientists to expand GC-MS capabilities across industries.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related science.
• Substantial GC-MS laboratory experience.
• Strong GC-MS theory and practice knowledge.
• Proven method development and validation experience.
• Experience with non-routine analytical investigations.
• Excellent data interpretation and problem solving.
• Strong organisation and project management skills.
• Able to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; customer-facing.
• Experience in quality-controlled labs.
• Strong IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead GC-MS analytical service delivery for Wilton.
• Develop, validate and document new GC-MS methods.
• Conduct non-routine investigations and provide solutions.
• Perform experiments and interpret data.
• Prepare technical reports and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers and teams on programs.
• Train and mentor junior staff.
• Maintain quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Support GC-MS service growth and offerings.
