Job summary

VGC Group are recruiting for a Gates Person with Stores experience to join our client's team on a new project in Wimblington, Cambridgeshire. The role starts in October 2026 and involves controlling access, signing in visitors and deliveries, directing vehicles, and maintaining site security.

Hours are 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday. PAYE pay rate is £14.68 per hour. Lodging and travel are not provided. Immediate start for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have CSCS Card.
• Experience on Gates/Stores is desirable or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good punctuality and reliability.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the site and sign visitors and deliveries in and out.
• Direct vehicles safely on site and maintain gate security.
• Keep entrance tidy and support site management with gate duties.
• Follow health and safety procedures and perform related tasks.

VGC Group are currently recruiting for a Gates Person with Stores experience to join our clients team on their new project in Wimblington, Cambridgeshire. Working commencing in October 2026.

As a Gateperson, your duties will include controlling access to and from the site, signing visitors and deliveries in and out, directing vehicles safely on site, maintaining site security and keeping the entrance tidy, assisting the site management team with general gate duties and following all health and safety procedures and all other associated tasks.

Pay Rate: £14.68 per hour PAYE

Hours: Monday - Friday 7am-5pm

Start Date: ASAP

Lodge and Travel is not available for this role.
