Job summary

Impact Services is seeking a Gatehouse Security Officer at our Stockport site. You will perform gatehouse and access control duties, welcome visitors, and maintain security for people and property.

The role requires an active SIA licence, strong customer service and English communication skills, and flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends. Full uniform, holidays, pension, training, and wellbeing support are provided.

Job Purpose

The purpose of a security guard's role is to prevent theft or any other illegal activity while providing security for premises and people.

Job Overview

A Security Guard plays a vital role, being the first point of contact for visitors and responsible for protecting property or people by patrolling sites and acting as access control.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Security Officer duties
• Gatehouse duties
• Keeping an accurate record and reporting any incidents or issues to the Area Manager and Security managers on site.
• Demonstrate their character as determined, trustworthy, attentive, and always approachable when welcoming clients and customers
• Work permit checks
• Checks within the premises
• Carry out random searches
• At all times, represent the business in the right manner
• Patrolling of the premises
• Radio comms
• Basic knowledge of health and safety

Requirements:

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor/Security Guarding Licence
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
