Job summary

Securitas UK in Brough is hiring a Gate Officer to join our security team. You will conduct patrols, control access, monitor CCTV, and respond to incidents to maintain a safe site.

This 60-hour per week role offers day shifts and requires a valid SIA licence, a full UK driving licence, and eligibility for BPSS and SC clearance. Training is provided, and progression opportunities exist.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Location: Brough

Hours: 60 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Day shift only

Rate of Pay: £14.56 per hour

• Must be a driver with access to your own vehicle
• Must be a British national by birth or have held a British passport for a minimum of 5 years

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to maintain site security
• Control access to the site, checking identification and issuing visitor passes
• Monitor CCTV and security systems, responding appropriately to any concerns
• Respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
• Complete accurate incident reports and maintain security records
• Follow site procedures and health and safety requirements at all times
• Carry out routine security equipment and site checks
• Provide excellent customer service to employees, contractors and visitors
• Help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment across the site

Qualifications

• Physically fit and comfortable with significant walking throughout your shift

Due to the nature of this opportunity, candidates must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) Clearance.
