Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the gatehouse, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the premises.
• Be a first point of contact for visitors to the site.
• Manage the weighbridge, accurately recording the weights of the vehicles and any other necessary information.
• Conduct patrols to ensure the site is secure; addressing any security breaches.
• Professionally answer telephone calls to the site, providing assistance and redirecting enquires when required.
• Conduct staff searches when necessary.
• Escort staff off site when requested by their Manager.
• Report any incidents, breaches or irregularities promptly to the appropriate authorities.
• Ensure site/Health and Safety rules are followed.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities

As a Gatehouse Officer you will:

• Operate and monitor the gatehouse, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the premises
• Be a first point of contact for visitors to the site
• Manage the weighbridge, accurately recording the weights of the vehicles and any other necessary information
• Conduct patrols to ensure the site is secure; appropriately addressing any security breaches
• Professionally answer any telephone calls to the site, providing assistance and redirecting enquires when required
• Conduct staff searches when necessary
• Escort staff off site when requested by their Manager
• Report any incidents, breaches or irregularities promptly to the appropriate authorities
