Job summary

4Way Recruitment Ltd in South London is seeking a Gate, Barrier and Automatic Door Engineer to join a permanent, full-time team. You will service, repair and install automated access equipment across a range of sites, with a company vehicle provided and paid travel after the first 30 minutes each way.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical fault-finding, a full UK driving licence, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Experience with automated access systems (gates, barriers, doors).
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• 3+ years in the industry (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve on-site faults on automated access equipment.
• Carry out routine servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Complete repair and installation works on gates, barriers, and doors.
• Work across a range of gate systems and automatic doors.
• Identify mechanical, electrical and control faults.
• Keep service records and site documentation up to date.
• Provide out-of-hours support as part of the callout rota.
• Liaise with customers and site representatives professionally.
