Job summary
RETAIND Ltd in the UK is seeking an Automatic Gate & Barrier Engineer to join our small, specialist team. Based in Epsom / Surrey, you will travel across London and the South East to install, service and repair automated gates and vehicle barriers.
You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, set travel limits, test safety devices, and complete service reports for customers. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential; overtime and progression opportunities are
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on automatic gates and vehicle barriers.
- Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
- DHF Level 2 Award in Automated Gate & Traffic Barrier Safety or equivalent training.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining, repairing and installing automated swing and sliding gates and vehicle barriers.
- Diagnosing faults with motors, gearboxes, hydraulic operators, control panels and wiring.
- Setting gate travel limits, adjusting operators and commissioning automation equipment.
- Testing photocells, safety edges, loops and protective devices.
- Carrying out safety assessments and recording results.
