Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts invites applications for a Gastroenterology Fellow to cover a maternity gap on a fixed-term contract. This post aims to mirror SPR experiences to support specialist registration in Gastroenterology within the NHS.

The appointee will split between inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology duties, contribute to GIM on-call rotas, and may participate in outpatient endoscopy depending on demand and skill.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and licence to practise in the UK.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical medicine.
• Experience supervising juniors and working in the NHS.
• Completion of audit and involvement in quality improvement.
• Experience of teaching and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-hours middle grade support to inpatient Gastroenterology areas.
• Deliver supervised out-patient Gastroenterology activity.
• Deliver independent out-patient endoscopy activity - dependent upon skillset.
• Contribute to the GIM on call rota.
