Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts invites applications for an in-hours middle grade gastroenterology post to deliver inpatient support in gastroenterology wards and supervise outpatient activity. The role includes independent outpatient endoscopy where skill permits and contributes to the GIM on-call rota.

The post holder will manage their workload flexibly to meet service milestones and will have opportunities to contribute to research and service development during outpatient weeks

Job description

The post is designed to deliver the following roles: Provide in-hours middle grade support to inpatient Gastroenterology areas. Deliver supervised out-patient Gastroenterology activity Deliver independent out-patient endoscopy activity - dependent upon skillset. Contribute to the GIM on call rota The post holder will be expected to work flexibly and manage their own workload to deliver key milestones in a timely manner. To enable the post holder to develop within the post beyond their direct clinical role, there will be opportunities for both research and service development activities within the outpatient weeks of the job plan to be adjusted to fit with the needs of the service and the needs and abilities of the appointee.
