Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Gastroenterologist to join an established team at the Lister Hospital, Stevenage. The post covers 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) and includes participation in the 1 in 12 GI bleeding and emergency endoscopy on-call rota, contributing to gastroenterology services across Lister Hospital, New QEII Hospital, and Hertford County Hospital.

The successful candidate will work with a team of 12 Gastroenterologists and 4 Hepatologists,

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of high-quality patient centered care
• Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the service and participation in strategic planning
• Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
• Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity
• Active participation in continuing medical education
