Job summary

Futura Design in Coventry seeks a Powertrain Integration Engineer (Gasoline) to join on a permanent basis. You will take technical ownership of gasoline powertrain integration across vehicle programmes and drive sign-off of powertrain systems to meet targets.

You will define system requirements, interfaces and packaging constraints, lead supplier interactions, and contribute to testing, validation and DFMA considerations across multiple powertrain components.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Strong experience in gasoline powertrain integration and vehicle development.
• Knowledge of DVPs and FMEAs and automotive test/validation.
• Experience managing suppliers and resolving technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of gasoline powertrain integration across assigned vehicle programmes.
• Manage integration and sign-off of powertrain systems to meet programme targets.
• Support specification, design, development and sign-off of powertrain components and systems including cooling, air intake, exhaust, fuel, driveline and transmission.
• Define system requirements, interfaces and integration targets for vehicle development.
• Lead interface with external engine and component suppliers to meet technical specs.
• Support RFQs and technical evaluation of supplier offerings.
• Develop Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and validation documentation.
• Support vehicle testing and validation throughout development.
• Apply structured problem-solving to diagnose and resolve powertrain issues.
