Job summary

KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors. Gas Tutor/Assessor (Trainee or Qualified) is centre-based in West Yorkshire, full-time and permanent. Deliver Gas Engineering Apprenticeships at Level 3 and related courses, with scope for Plumbing/Renewable Energy qualifications where competent.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Gas qualification (e.g. CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 or equivalent).
• Solid occupational experience in Gas Engineering and Heating systems.
• Ideally hold qualifications/experience in Renewable energy and/or Plumbing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Gas Engineering Apprenticeships at Level 3, and relevant short courses, across practical and theoretical competencies.
• Delivery of Plumbing / Renewable Energy qualifications, if competent/qualified to do so.
• Contribute to curriculum design and development, supporting the creation of practical tasks, assessments and learning resources.
• Carry out on site visits, to assess learners within their place of work, in addition to classroom-based training and workshop delivery.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner's needs.
