Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Gas Tutor / Assessor (Trainee or Qualified) to deliver Gas Engineering Apprenticeships at Level 3 and related courses. The role is based centre-based in West Yorkshire, with duties including on-site learner visits and classroom delivery.

Unqualified Assessors will receive training to complete an Assessor Qualification; the position offers a competitive salary up to £44,000 plus OTE up to £8,000, excellent holiday entitlement, a pension, and more.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Gas qualification (e.g. CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 or equivalent).
• Solid occupational experience in Gas Engineering and Heating systems.
• Ideally hold qualifications/experience in Renewable energy and/or Plumbing.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Gas Engineering Apprenticeships at Level 3, and relevant short courses, across practical and theoretical competencies.
• Deliver Plumbing / Renewable Energy qualifications, if competent/qualified to do so.
• Contribute to curriculum design and development, supporting the creation of practical tasks, assessments and learning resources.
• Carry out on site visits, to assess learners within their place of work, in addition to classroom-based training and workshop delivery.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner's needs.
