Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Gas Tutor / Assessor (Trainee or Qualified) for a centre-based role in West Yorkshire. The position offers a salary up to £44,000 with an OTE of up to £8k, plus excellent holiday entitlement and pension.

Training support is provided to unqualified assessors to obtain the Assessor Qualification. The successful candidate will deliver Gas Engineering Apprenticeships at Level 3 and related qualifications, visit learners on site, and contribute to curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Gas qualification (e.g. CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 or equivalent).
• Must hold solid occupational experience in Gas Engineering and Heating systems.
• Ideally hold qualifications/experience in Renewable energy and/or Plumbing.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Gas Engineering Apprenticeships at Level 3, and relevant short courses, across practical and theoretical competencies.
• Delivery of Plumbing / Renewable Energy qualifications, if competent/qualified to do so.
• Contribute to curriculum design and development, supporting the creation of practical tasks, assessments and learning resources.
• Carry out on site visits, to assess learners within their place of work, in addition to classroom-based training and workshop delivery.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
