Job summary

Mitsubishi Power EMEA is seeking a Customer Support Engineer for the Leeds office to provide hands-on technical support for gas and steam turbines, generators and control systems. You will collaborate with the engineering team to resolve complex issues and support maintenance planning and execution.

The role emphasizes customer-facing responsibilities, problem solving, and delivering reliable technical solutions to ensure asset availability and safety across operating assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with steam turbine design, operation, repair, service, installation or commissioning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to develop practical solutions.
• Excellent technical report-writing and communication skills.
• Fluent business English; knowledge of Japanese advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and problem resolution for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, control systems and auxiliaries.
• Lead root cause analysis for significant technical issues and provide technical leadership.
• Prepare technical reports, procedures, specifications and presentations.
• Support planned inspections and maintenance activities.
• Develop strong relationships with customers and support sales/ proposal activities.
