Job summary

Siemens Energy Gas Services in Lincolnshire seeks an experienced design engineer to work on the SGT-A35 turbomachinery. You will contribute to R&D projects, cost reduction, and operational activities, delivering reliable component designs.

You will iterate designs to meet fit-form-function, own them through their life cycle, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with specialists to optimize solutions. Fluent English required in a French-speaking environment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with castings, forgings, and machining.
• Fluency in English to comprehend documentation and communicate internationally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver designs that meet fit-form-function for turbine components.
• Own designs through lifecycle: conceptual, basic/detailed, manufacturing optimization, implementation, and R&O.
• Output DFMEAs, designs, models, schemes, technical presentations, specifications, design guidelines & best practices.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers within the team.
• Collaborate with analytical and manufacturing specialists to optimize design solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis for field failures involving developed components.
