Gas Service Engineer (Domestic Stoves)

The Company:

Are you someone who loves variety in your workload and can travel throughout the South Central West region (ideal locations: Cambridge, Peterborough, Chelmsford) to service and maintain a broad range of heating products including Gas, Electric, and Solid Fuel? If you're also happy to stay away from home for 2-4 nights per week, then this could be just the job for you. Your primary responsibility will be the completion of warranty and annual service work for Gas, Electric, and Solid Fuel heating appliances. You will be provided with a fully equipped van, and all overnight accommodation will be paid for upfront.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all service and warranty calls are carried out professionally, timely, and accurately, resolving issues fully during the first visit.
2. Correctly identify the reason for reported issues and determine whether they are due to manufacturing faults or installation/user errors, which will then be charged to the customer on site.
3. Ensure the safety of end users in accordance with all relevant regulations for installation and use.
4. Issue safety notices if required, inform relevant personnel, and complete the company's required paperwork after each service visit.
