Job summary

Serco Group is seeking an experienced Gas Responsible Person to lead the compliance team for gas systems across a national portfolio. The role focuses on ensuring safe operation of gas infrastructure, delivering statutory inspections, and providing expert technical governance.

You will work with operational teams, contractors and project managers, overseeing risk assessments, procedures and on-site activities, including on-call support as required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing gas compliance across large property portfolios.
• Thorough understanding of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations and related standards.
• Proven ability to deliver compliance assurance and perform technical audits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee gas compliance activities across the estate, including inspections and servicing.
• Lead and monitor preventative maintenance programmes and audits.
• Provide expert technical guidance on gas infrastructure and safety procedures.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes and drive improvements to safety and compliance.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare assurance reports for senior stakeholders.
