Job summary

Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks in Devon is seeking a qualified Gas Safe Engineer to join our friendly team. The role covers gas appliance maintenance across our accommodations and facilities, with a hands-on, proactive approach and a focus on guest safety.

We offer full-time permanent employment with live-in accommodation available for the right candidate, as well as evenings and weekend shifts. A valid UK driving licence and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registration and current qualifications.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.
• Caravan maintenance experience and plumbing experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect and maintain gas appliances and heating systems in accommodations and communal areas.
• Perform servicing to ensure safety and reliability of all gas-related equipment.
• Diagnose faults and resolve issues in line with Gas Safe regulations.
• Maintain up-to-date records of work and ensure compliance with authorities.
• Shift patterns may include evenings, weekends and holidays.

Here at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks, we have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Gas Safe Engineer to join our friendly, professional team. The successful applicant will have had previous experience in a similar role working in a fast-paced environment, have a hands on, proactive approach and enjoy working as a team to deliver exceptional customer care. As a Gas Safe Engineer at our holiday parks, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and functionality of gas appliances and systems across our accommodations and facilities. Position Details:

• Full-time permanent position available
• Availability required for evenings, weekends, bank and school holidays
• Live-in accommodation available for the right candidates
• A valid, full, UK driving licence and own transport is essential for this role.
• Caravan maintenance experience an advantage but not essential.
• Plumbing experience an advantage but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and maintain gas appliances and heating systems in accommodations and communal areas.
• Perform routine servicing to ensure the reliability and safety of all gas-related equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve faults promptly, adhering to Gas Safe regulations.
• Adhere to Gas safe regulations.
• Maintain up to date records of work.
• Ensure you uphold compliance with relevant authorities.
• Good time management, organisational skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise your workload under own initiative.
• Every day is a holiday for our guests and so working shift patterns may include evenings, weekends, school holidays and bank holidays.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Gas Safe registered with relevant qualifications and certifications.
• Current Core domestic, natural and LPG qualifications essential with a minimum of 3 months until expiry.
• LPG changeover to Leisure Accommodation Vehicles, Permanent dwellings, residential park homes very much desired but not essential as training can be provided. Happy to consider those already working on a portfolio / training hours as part of the above qualifications if evidence of training can be provided.
• Domestic unvented hot water storage systems, commercial catering, LPG gas storage vessels and polyethylene electro fusion jointing desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Full, clean driving license.
