Job summary

HomeServe UK is recruiting a Gas Repair Engineer in Preston to diagnose and repair gas appliances and heating systems in customers’ homes. You will typically work about 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, with annualised hours and a guaranteed first-year bonus.

You’ll handle fault diagnostics, boiler services, safety checks, and independent job management while delivering excellent customer service and representing HomeServe with professionalism.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing gas appliances and central heating systems.
• Full UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on site.
• A positive, proactive approach to your work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing faults on boilers and central heating systems
• Carrying out repairs to restore heating and hot water
• Carrying out boiler services
• Completing safety checks and ensuring compliance with regulations
• Managing jobs independently while delivering excellent customer service
