Job summary

Stark Connect | Gas is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead safe, compliant delivery of industrial and commercial gas metering installations and exchanges, focusing on systems operating above 2 bar. You will own projects from design to handover, coordinating engineers, contractors and suppliers to meet budget and schedule.

You will apply instrumentation experience to technical decisions, provide leadership to metering teams, and ensure compliance with PSSR and IGEM/IET standards while

Qualifications

• IGEM/IET accreditation or equivalent required.
• Understanding of Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000 and IGEM/IET standards.
• Experience installing, commissioning, calibrating, maintaining and diagnosing faults on gas-related instrumentation (pressure/temperature transmitters, flow meters, telemetry).
• Ability to read electrical schematics, instrumentation loop diagrams, wiring drawings and equipment specifications.
• Knowledge of hazardous-area requirements, Ex certification and intrinsic safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage gas meter installation and exchange projects, controlling budgets, programmes, quality and customer expectations.
• Review and approve designs within delegated authority, including integration of electrical instrumentation and telemetry interfaces.
• Provide technical leadership for metering systems above 2 bar within your competence and authorization.
• Prepare cost plans and competitive quotations to support future project orders.
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors with the right expertise and resources.
• Maintain compliance with PSSR, IGEM/IET standards and Stark procedures.
• Prepare or coordinate risk assessments, method statements and lifting plans for instrumentation work in gas environments.
• Coordinate commissioning, inspection, calibration, maintenance and fault diagnosis; ensure records and handover documentation are complete and traceable.
• Support technical investigations, respond to queries and mentor engineers and contractors.
• Support out-of-hours Meter Emergency Service cover.
