Job summary

ExxonMobil in London is seeking a Trading Market Risk Advisor to support Gas desks, monitoring and managing risk across trading activities and advising daily on PnL, exposures, VaR and MTM. You will collaborate with traders to optimize risk controls and strategy.

The role requires deep knowledge of Europe gas hubs (TTF/NBP/OEG/THE) and strong analytics. Expect governance of risk processes, scenario analysis, and hedging input to inform trading decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative field.
• Experience in energy trading, financial or energy risk management.

Responsibilities

• Proactively deliver market risk insights through daily analysis and reporting of trading positions, exposures, and risk limits.
• Lead daily oversight of exposure risk, identify and resolve data issues, and provide timely alerts and hedging input to traders.
• Refine risk analytics such as VaR and stress testing to enhance portfolio transparency.
• Understand full risk lifecycle from trade capture to risk reporting and governance.
• Evaluate complex commodity transactions and ensure proper valuation and regulatory alignment.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to governance improvements.
• Strengthen risk infrastructure and reporting to align with regulatory standards.
