Job summary

Eni Trade & Biofuels (ETB) in London is seeking a Market Risk Analyst (Analytics) to join the analytics team. You will analyse daily trading activity, including P&L and position reporting for the gas desk, and support Crude Oil Derivatives, LNG, and Power & Emissions.

The role focuses on developing automation and software to streamline daily processes, applying machine learning and AI techniques to improve risk procedures, and communicating insights to senior management.

Qualifications

• University degree in a numerate discipline (e.g. economics, mathematics, finance).
• Relevant market risk experience in commodity trading, especially gas & power.
• Strong knowledge of VaR, stress-testing and scenario analysis.
• Good understanding of derivatives and options.
• Proficient with MS Office, Excel and VBA; SQL and Python are advantageous.
• Knowledge of Endur ETRM is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with senior management; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review daily P&L and risk reports, monitor limits, and resolve issues with relevant teams.
• Support front office in approving new and non-standard products.
• Identify significant risks and ensure transparency to senior management.
• Provide information for bi-weekly Risk Committee meetings.
• Review changes to the Endur ETRM system and ensure controls compliance.
• Participate in enhancing reporting and development of reporting systems.
