Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Gas Engineer to join Cadent’s team in Doncaster. The role involves leading on-site activities to attend and repair gas escapes, installing and maintaining gas mains and services, and ensuring safe working practices.

You will operate in a standby rota, handle excavations up to 2.5m, assist with testing and diagnostics, and provide guidance to teams while complying with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to be clean shaved every day for health and safety.

• Groundwork Excavations and reinstatements
• Utilising appropriate signing, lighting and guarding
• Ensuring cable avoidance
• Delivering equipment and tools where required
• Patrol and plant protection
• Working on deep excavations up to 2.5m
• Working on a standby rota system
