Job summary

All Gas1 is seeking a Gas Industrial and Commercial Metering Engineer to join on a long-term contract supporting meter installations across Yorkshire and surrounding regions. The role includes site surveys and direct customer engagement, with training provided for surveys and meter work.

Ideal candidates will have gas industry experience, valid UK driving licence, and a proven ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Gas industry experience (1+ year) and a valid UK driving licence are essential.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are required.
• Strong time management and administration skills are important for meeting schedules.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove and exchange gas meters from U6 to U160 and other meter types.
• Perform site survey work and document findings (training provided).
• Maintain high safety standards and ensure quality workmanship on-site.

Gas Industrial and Commercial Metering Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen on a long-term contract completing Industrial & Commercial Gas meter installations across the Yorkshire area.

Locations

Locations: Yorkshire, North West & East Midlands

Salary

Salary: Competitive Salary, paid weekly, two weeks in arrears.

Hours of work: 08:00hrs to 16:30hrs Monday to Friday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Saturday & Sunday work available.

Benefits

Benefits: 28 days paid holiday per annum (includes 8 days statutory) After 3 years with the company an additional 3 days holiday. Successful applicants will also be eligible to participate in the company pension scheme. Company van, fuel, PPE & any required specialist equipment will be provided.

Applicants must provide their own standard gas fitting tool kit.

As part of this job type you will initially be required to complete;

• Install, Remove and Exchange Gas meters from U6 to U160, Rotary and Turbine meters on all pressure Tiers
• Complete site survey work (training provided)

You will need -

• CCN1, MET1, CMET1(CMET2)
• Be presentable and have excellent customer service skills.
• Have effective communication skills
• Minimum 1-year experience in the Gas Industry and work to a VERY high standard.
• Be a good timekeeper.
• Have good administration skills.
• Have a flexible approach to your working hours
• A valid UK driving licence is also essential

Immediate start dates are available for the right applicant.

This opportunity may evolve into other work types within All Gas1’ remit but if it does full training will be given. Any training will be paid at the normal hourly rate. This is a superb opportunity to join a progressive and successful company.
