Job summary

Sureserve is recruiting a dedicated gas maintenance professional to service and maintain heating and hot water systems across the Yorkshire region. You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs, perform planned maintenance and ensure high workmanship standards with excellent customer service during each visit.

Successful candidates will hold CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 qualifications, possess a valid UK driving licence, and have prior domestic gas maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1)
• UK driving licence is essential
• Experience in gas maintenance within a domestic capacity
• Strong understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Professional and friendly attitude with strong client/tenant relationships

Salary: £17.33 per hour (£36,046 annually)

Location: Yorkshire covering LS,HD,HX areas

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40

Working pattern: Monday to Friday with on-call requirements

Holiday entitlement: 20 + Bank Holidays (increases with service)

About the role

Responsible for ensuring heating and hot water systems are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, helping customers stay comfortable in their homes. You'll diagnose faults, complete repairs, carry out planned maintenance, and provide a high standard of workmanship while delivering excellent customer service at every visit.

What you’ll be doing

What we’re looking for

Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications. As a minimum, successful candidates must have the following: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)

Valid UK driving licence (essential)

Previous practical experience in gas maintenance within a domestic capacity

Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

A professional and friendly attitude with the ability to forge strong relationships with both clients and tenants
