Job summary

Derby Homes is recruiting a Gas Engineer to service and repair domestic gas appliances across Derby City boundaries. The role requires Gas Safe competency and ACS qualifications to install or service domestic gas systems, with strong customer service and IT skills.

You will work locally, carrying out routine servicing, responding to breakdowns, and using PDA systems to manage jobs and order materials. A transit-style vehicle, fuel card, mobile phone and tools are provided.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe competent and ACS qualified to install or work on domestic gas appliances and services.
• Experience in servicing, maintaining and repairing gas appliances.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out annual servicing of gas appliances.
• Gain access to properties, including difficult-to-access locations.
• Carry out breakdowns and fix on first visit where possible.
• Use PDA to obtain jobs and order materials through the supply chain.
• Demonstrate IT proficiency as part of daily duties.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Derby Homes are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Gas Engineer. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Gas appliances, service and repairs and have excellent customer service skills.

Must be Gas Safe competent, ACS qualified to install or work on domestic gas appliances and services including the appropriate ACS qualifications in domestic gas work.

The day-to-day duties of the role will include but not be limited to:

• Carrying out annual servicing of Gas appliances.
• Gaining Access to Difficult to Access Properties.
• Carrying breakdowns to all gas appliances to a first fix standard.
• Using PDA technology to obtain jobs and ordering materials through our supply chain.
• Have knowledge and understanding of I.T.
• Good communication skills with other team members.

To help you achieve this you will get a transit style vehicle which can be used to travel to and from your home, this will also be provided full of van stock all YOU need to do is complete our driver assessment.
