Job summary

SGN in Aberdeen is launching an Apprenticeship programme for an Apprentice Emergency Gas Responder [FCO]. The 3-year course leads to Gas Safe registration and hands-on experience delivering gas services across Scotland and the south of England.

Start date is 11 January 2027 and the salary is £29.3k per annum with a completion bonus. You will learn on-site while attending college blocks, supported by experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• 3 National 5 grades A-C including Maths & English.
• Willing to drive and pass test within 6–12 months.
• Commitment to up to 3 years of training.
• Ability to travel to training centres and stay away when required.

Responsibilities

• Responding to reported gas emergencies
• Installation and replacement of gas meters
• Installing, testing and commissioning internal gas pipework
• Promoting health and safety in gas service/repair activities
