Job summary

SGN is launching its Emergency Gas Responder Apprenticeship across Scotland, a 3-year journey to learn how to safely deliver gas services and become a Gas Safe registered professional. This role supports engineers in repairing, replacing and laying gas mains and services in key Scottish areas.

You will study with college on a block release basis, travel and accommodation arranged when needed, and you should be prepared to drive and pass your test within 6–12 months of joining.

Qualifications

• Three National 5 grades A-C or equivalent including Maths & English.
• Willingness to commit to a 3-year apprenticeship.
• Interest in pursuing a career in the gas network industry.

Responsibilities

• Installation of gas meters and regulators.
• Responding to reported gas emergencies.
• Installation & maintenance of gas networks.
• Promoting health and safety in gas service/repair activities.
