Gas Engineer role with Hackney Housing in London Borough of Hackney. You will service, maintain and install domestic gas heating systems across residential properties, delivering planned and reactive maintenance.

Requires ACS Gas Qualifications, a full UK driving licence, and proven experience in social housing environments. The role offers a full-time schedule, a company vehicle, and an ongoing temporary contract with immediate start.

Qualifications

• Valid ACS Gas Qualifications.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Proven experience servicing, repairing and installing domestic gas appliances and heating systems.
• Strong understanding of current Gas Safety Regulations.
• Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
• Experience in social housing, local authority or responsive repairs environments desired.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, maintain, and install domestic gas heating and hot water systems.
• Carry out annual gas safety inspections and servicing programmes.
• Diagnose faults and repair boilers, radiators, pumps, valves, heating controls, and associated pipework.
• Complete gas safety certificates and all required compliance documentation.
• Undertake minor multi-skilled works including basic plumbing, electrical, and making-good repairs.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working within occupied and void properties.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with current Gas Safety Regulations.
• Accurately record work completed and maintain up-to-date job records.

We are recruiting an experienced Gas Engineer to support Hackney Housing in delivering high-quality servicing, repairs, maintenance, and installation work across residential properties throughout the borough. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy Housing Repairs team providing both planned and reactive maintenance services. Based on the requirements outlined below
