Job summary

Sureserve is seeking an experienced gas appliance technician to service and maintain heating and hot water systems across the Gloucester region. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and deliver high-quality workmanship while providing excellent customer service at every visit.

Essentially, you will rotate through domestic properties with on-call requirements, holding CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 essential).
• Strong understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards.
• Excellent diagnostic and repair skills for gas heating systems.

Responsibilities

• Fill paperwork electronically and manually and communicate progress to clients.

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40

Working pattern: Monday to Friday with on‑call requirements

Holiday entitlement: 20 + Bank Holidays (increases with service)

About the role

Responsible for ensuring heating and hot water systems are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, helping customers stay comfortable in their homes. You'll diagnose faults, complete repairs, carry out planned maintenance, and provide a high standard of workmanship while delivering excellent customer service at every visit.

What youll be doing

Carry out service and maintenance works on a variety of domestic properties across the region

Ensuring high levels of customer care in dealing with clients and tenants to meet the required quality standards

Communicate updates and progress of work, completing the required paperwork electronically and manually

What were looking for

Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications. As a minimum, successful candidates must have the following: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)

Valid UK driving licence (essential)

Previous practical experience in gas maintenance within a domestic capacity

Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards

Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently

A professional and friendly attitude with the ability to forge strong relationships with both clients and tenants
