EQUANS are recruiting for Gas Engineers to be based in Coleshill, Birmingham to work on social housing across the East quadrant of Birmingham. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics of gas appliances and heating systems.
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure safety and performance.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain records of work performed, parts used and time spent.
• Provide technical guidance to team members as needed.
• Liaise with clients and tenants to explain work required and advise on maintenance.

General Overview:

The Gas Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient servicing, maintenance and repairs within residential and commercial properties. They ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies to uphold the safety and functionality of gas systems.

What will you deliver:

• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics of gas appliances and heating systems.
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed.
• Liaise with clients and tenants to explain work required and provide maintenance advice.
• Any other reasonable management request.

Who are we looking for:

• Gas Safe registration (Gas Safe ID).
• Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications in gas engineering (minimum level 3).
• Basic knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in Construction
• Experience in gas appliance installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations pertaining to gas installations.
• Full UK driving license.
