Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to join a respected, family-run business delivering heating installation, servicing and repair across domestic and commercial properties in Oxfordshire. The role is self-employed with potential to move into a permanent position, offering strong earning potential through overtime and consistent work with a supportive team.

Ideal candidates will be Gas Safe registered (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1) with at least two years’ experience in domestic heating.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registered with CCN1, CENWAT and CKR1.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in domestic heating.
• Unvented hot water (G3) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive repairs and fault finding on domestic boilers and heating systems.
• Perform annual servicing, safety checks and PPM works.
• Install, replace and upgrade boilers and heating components.
• Prepare void properties for new tenants with safety checks and repairs.
• Diagnose faults and provide first-time fixes.
• Maintain records, certification and reports via tablet systems.

I would love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Heating Installer, Heating Engineer, Reactive Heating Technician or in a similar construction-related role.

As a Gas Engineer you will be:

• Carrying out reactive repairs and fault finding on domestic boilers, heating systems and appliances.
• Completing annual servicing, safety checks and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) works.
• Installing, replacing and upgrading boilers, heating systems and associated components.
• Preparing void properties for new tenants by completing safety checks, repairs and remedial works.
• Diagnosing faults and providing effective solutions to achieve first-time fixes.
• Maintaining accurate job records, certification and reports using tablet systems.

• Gas Safe registered — CCN1, CENWAT and CKR1.
• Minimum of two years’ experience.
• Unvented hot water (G3).
• Strong domestic experience covering servicing, repairs and fault-finding.
• Comfortable working in occupied.
• Flexibility to work across these locations Carterton, Abingdon and Faringdon.
• Own van and tools.

This role is offering £31 per hour.
