Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting for an experienced Gas Contract Manager in North West London to oversee gas servicing and maintenance contracts for a housing portfolio. The role requires strong contract management, budget monitoring and extensive knowledge of residential gas safety regulations.

The position is an initial 6-month contract located in North West London, with a focus on ensuring safety compliance, performance monitoring and continuous service improvements across the portfolio.

Qualifications

Location: North West London

Rate: £48 per hour (Umbrella)

Contract: Initial 6 months

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Gas Contract Manager to join a Local Authority in North West London on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for overseeing gas servicing, maintenance contracts and statutory compliance across a residential housing portfolio of approximately 10,000 properties under the Council's direct and indirect management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery and performance of gas servicing and maintenance contracts.
• Ensure full compliance with gas safety legislation, regulations and statutory requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance, ensuring works are completed to a high standard, on time and within budget.
• Manage compliance risks, resolve performance issues and drive continuous service improvements.
• Work closely with internal teams and external contractors to maintain safe, compliant housing stock.

About You

You will have a proven track record in managing gas compliance contracts within a Local Authority or Housing Association environment, alongside extensive knowledge of residential gas safety regulations. Strong contract management, budget monitoring and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
