Job summary

MostonRECRUIT is seeking a skilled Multi Skilled Engineer with a Gas Engineer bias to join the Hard Services team at our Buxton site. You will carry out planned maintenance, reactive repairs and fault-finding across gas, mechanical, plumbing and building services, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role involves diagnosing faults, conducting statutory inspections, and maintaining records while delivering a high level of service to a prestigious client.

Qualifications

• Relevant gas and/or plumbing qualifications and certifications.
• Experience in facilities management or building services maintenance.
• Experience or exposure to a science or research centre environment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of gas safety and statutory compliance.
• A full, valid UK driving licence.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CAFM systems.
• A flexible, customer-focused approach and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs.
• Diagnosing faults and repairing gas, mechanical and plumbing systems.
• Carrying out statutory inspections and compliance checks.
• Undertaking general plumbing repairs, including toilets, showers and sinks.
• Responding to breakdowns and supporting call-out requirements when needed.
• Maintaining accurate records and working safely to all relevant standards.
• Working closely with clients, contractors and colleagues to deliver an excellent service.
