Job summary

Effective Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer / Heating Engineer to join a growing team in Northern Ireland. The role focuses on reactive boiler maintenance, fault-finding and servicing across Londonderry and surrounding areas, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

The position offers a permanent, full-time contract with an early start, van provided from day one, tablet for reporting, and opportunities for overtime, training and career development.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating is required.
• Current Gas Safe and/or OFTEC qualifications.
• Previous experience servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on boilers.
• Experience carrying out heating and boiler installation work.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A valid AccessNI Basic Disclosure Certificate will be required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out reactive gas boiler maintenance and repairs.
• Fault-finding and diagnosing boiler issues.
• Carrying out planned boiler servicing.
• Working across a variety of client properties throughout Enniskillen.
• Completing all required paperwork using a company-supplied tablet.
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and within contractual deadlines.
• Delivering a professional service to customers and clients.
