Job summary

Effective Recruitment Solutions Ltd in Belfast is seeking an experienced Gas Engineer/Heating Engineer to join a growing team. You will perform reactive maintenance, fault-finding and servicing of boilers across Belfast and Northern Ireland, using a company tablet to complete paperwork and meeting contractual deadlines.

The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating, Gas Safe and/or OFTEC qualifications, a full UK driving licence and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating is required.
• Gas Safe and/or OFTEC qualifications are required.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and fault-finding boilers.
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload.

Gas Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Gas Engineer / Heating Engineer / Boiler Engineer to join an established and growing business based in Belfast, working across Belfast and the local Northern Ireland area, carrying out maintenance and repair works. The company provides gas and oil installation, maintenance and repair services across Northern Ireland, working with a varied client base including Housing Associations, Health Trusts, the Education Authority, Facilities Management companies and Local Councils.

Following the award of several new long-term contracts, they are looking to expand their engineering team with an experienced Gas Engineer / Heating Engineer.

The Role

As a Gas Engineer / Heating Engineer / Boiler Engineer responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out reactive gas boiler maintenance and repairs
• Fault-finding and diagnosing boiler issues
• Carrying out planned boiler servicing
• Working across a variety of client properties throughout Enniskillen
• Completing all required paperwork using a company-supplied tablet
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and within contractual deadlines
• Delivering a professional service to customers and clients

The Gas Engineer / Heating Engineer / Boiler Engineer will need:

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating
• Current Gas Safe and/or OFTEC qualifications
• Previous experience servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on boilers
• Experience carrying out heating and boiler installation work
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload
• Good communication and customer service skills
• A valid AccessNI Basic Disclosure Certificate will be required for the position

The Gas Engineer / Heating Engineer / Boiler Engineer will earn:

• Up to 40k basic
• 8:00am - 5:00pm
