Job summary

Effective Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to join a growing team in Belfast, covering Greater Belfast and County Down. You will carry out reactive boiler maintenance, fault-finding, and planned servicing across client properties, ensuring safety and timely delivery of works.

The role requires NVQ3 Plumbing & Heating, Gas Safe or OFTEC, a full UK driving license, and the ability to work independently with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating required.
• Current Gas Safe and/or OFTEC qualifications.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and fault-finding boilers.
• Experience carrying out heating and boiler installation work.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A valid AccessNI Basic Disclosure Certificate will be required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out reactive gas boiler maintenance and repairs.
• Fault-finding and diagnosing boiler issues.
• Carrying out planned boiler servicing.
• Working across Greater Belfast and County Down client properties.
• Completing paperwork using a company-supplied tablet.
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and on time.
• Delivering a professional service to customers and clients.
