Job summary

TAGGED RESOURCES is seeking an experienced Garment Technologist in Manchester to join a UK-based manufacturing and sourcing operation. You will work with retailers, prepare costings, and coordinate production samples with offshore factories in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 2-3 years’ related experience, strong communication, and organisation. Travel to retailers for fittings is expected; there is potential for Friday home-working, with finish-by-Friday flexibility.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in a related area.
• Full driving licence is essential.
• Knowledge of 3D software Optitex/Browzwear/CLO would be advantageous, training can be provided.
• Confident and clear communication skills with manufacturers, retailers and within the office.

Responsibilities

• Work with retailers to achieve right first-time quality.
• Create workbooks and specs for costings and buying samples.
• Request sealing samples and initial patterns from offshore manufacturers.
• Measure and check garments, obtain approvals with retailers in person or via VC, then issue comments to factories.
• Coordinate with factories to meet retailer and legal requirements and perform risk assessments.
• Administer the critical path and submit final production samples with documentation.
• Create print patterns on Optitex for the design team to set up print packs.
• Work with Optitex 3D to create patterns for design and development.
