Job summary

Vogue Sourcing seeks a talented Garment Tech to join our team in Manchester or Leicester. You will liaise with designers, adapt designs for production, work with suppliers, and oversee fittings from first samples to final seals.

Responsibilities include creating workbooks, evaluating materials, handling queries, and ensuring production within budget while maintaining documentation accuracy with the product teams and external suppliers.

Qualifications

• Understanding of manufacturing, textiles and garment construction is essential.
• Ability to work alone as well as in a team.
• Able to work under tight deadlines and cope with pressure.
• Demonstrate an understanding of pattern cutting, construction and manufacturing techniques.
• Technical knowledge gained preferably within fast paced commercial or supplier environment.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with designers, and adapting designs to suit production methods.
• Working closely with Suppliers and Offshore Teams.
• Creating Workbooks for styles.
• Overseeing fittings of first samples, Grades. PP samples and Gold Seals.
• Attending Fit sessions with Customers.
• Update Workbooks after Fit Sessions with Clear instructions and pictures if needed to make amendments.
• Undertaking quality evaluations of materials and checking the quality of the final product.
• Responding to product queries from wholesalers and customers.
• Making sure garments can be produced within budget.
• Internally Fitting Womens, Ladies and Childrenswear samples on stand and update Workbooks before attending Fit Session with Next Techs.
