Harbour Healthcare are recruiting for a Gardener in St Helens. You will maintain the fabric of the building, its services and grounds to ensure the Victoria Care Home is safe and well-presented. You may be on call for emergencies and must complete all required legal documents on time.

The role requires general maintenance skills, good communication, a clean driving licence, and a willingness to receive training on health & safety. A satisfactory police check is expected.

Qualifications

• General maintenance knowledge / experience (e.g. minor electrical, plumbing, joinery).
• Good communication skills.
• Confident team player.
• Clean driving licence.
• Use of a car or similar vehicle.
• Willingness to receive training on Health & Safety / EHO issues.
• Satisfactory Police check and check against the POVA List (where applicable).

Responsabilités

• Assist in maintenance of the Care Centre and its surroundings.
• Use grass cutters and other machinery to maintain grounds.
• Maintain maintenance standards and address day-to-day issues.
• Promote Residents’ welfare and rights.
• Maintain a Maintenance Book and record defects.
• Keep exterior areas and gardens tidy and well-kept.
• Patch up decoration as needed to uphold centre standards.
