Job summary

Ashford School, part of Coast and Vale Learning Trust, is seeking a dedicated grounds assistant to maintain lawns, flower beds, shrubs, and outdoor spaces year-round. You will support the Grounds Team with seasonal projects and ensure paths and outdoor areas remain safe and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will have gardening experience, be hardworking and reliable, physically fit for outdoor work, and able to work independently with a flexible approach to hours.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• General gardening and grounds maintenance.
• Lawn care including mowing, edging, and watering.
• Planting, pruning, weeding, and seasonal bed maintenance.
• Maintaining pathways and outdoor areas to a high standard.
• Supporting the Grounds Team with seasonal projects and landscaping tasks.
• Ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
